"Churning Butter" Book Launch

3/20/2025

Picture
Join us Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Creamery Parlour Café for a book launch by historian Rolf Buschardt Christensen.

This partial history of the birth and early development of the dairy industry is about Christian Marker and his work in helping Alberta District farmers establish dairies. "Among many others, he helped the farmers of the Icelandic settlement of Tindastoll establish a viable creamery. In appreciation for his help they changed the name of their settlement to Markerville."
CHURNING BUTTER will be available at the event, and is being added to our souvenir store in the Kaffistofa at the Markerville Creamery.

This free event starts at 2:30 pm in the basement of the Creamery.
